Technology Lesson #1: Pandora ROCKS

This next lesson came courtesy of my fabulous millennial co-worker Here's My Deal. Realization that baby boomers and Gen Xers can actually learn alot from these wide-eyed, technologically-savvy youngsters. As case in point....Pandora Radio.

If, like me, listening to music is ingrained in your soulful being, an essential part of getting through the day - alarm clock, shower radio, in the car, in the kitchen, in the yard, at the office - then I implore you to check it out.

Totally free, no commercials, no buffering - just sign up and pick out a station based on genre/artist. You can create your own stations. Favorite part is rating each song - don't like it, tell 'em and they'll play something else.

Turns out created stations may also perfectly illustrate how music and life intertwines...
Rat Pack Mix (nana & papa)
Old School Country (grandma & grandpa
)
Classic Rock (the parents)
80s-90s (yearn for youth)
DiscoFunkDance (superstar!)

Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul. - Unknown

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. - Plato

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. - Berthold Auerbach
